INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the airbag connector to install the instrument panel wire.

NOTICE:

  • Match the color of the connector of the instrument panel wire assembly with that of the connector of the front passenger assembly and install the airbag connector.
  • Lock the locking button securely.


(b) Engage the 10 hooks and install the front passenger airbag on the instrument panel.

(c) Engage the 2 clamps.

(d) Install the 2 screws.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the instrument panel sub-assembly INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 Sequoia) .

Torque: 5.4 N·m (55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf)

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 Sequoia) .
